    • DCR Recreational Trails Grants – 3 each to Newburyport and Salisbury

    • State low interest loans and grants to Newburyport’s new Clean Water facilities , Amesbury’s Water plant, and the Salisbury Beach Water Tower.

  • $1.1 million for AnnaJaquesHospital from distressed hospital fund plus $333,000 CHART grant in 2013 for improved digital records
  • $ 3.8 million MassWorks grant for the Amesbury Lower Millyard project
  • $400,000 PARC grant for HeritagePark
  • $400,000 Small Boat Launch on the Powwow
  • Reopened the Maria Miles Visitor Center

  • Salisbury Beach nourishment from dredging in 2010, 20,000 cu yds for Access 1 and 2 in 2007, 12,000 cu yds in 2013 from harvesting, a $ 300,000 earmark for sand for Access # 6 and 7 in 2014 and over 14 miles of snow fence.
  • Plum Island Boardwalk, new restrooms and beach sand nourishment
  • Championed beach management plan after Patriot’s Day storm of 2007
  • National Guard to Plum Island Beach after Mother’s Day Flood of 2006
  • New boardwalks, life guard station and access ramps at SalisburyBeach through $ 2 million Bond earmark
